Sample Scene 1

From our shoot on the 16th November we managed to get a scene where our main character is sat in an arm chair on a field, and in this scene we wanted to see if duplicating the character in the armchair would work, and to do this we had to keep the camera rolling in one long take and in the same position whiles we moved the armchair in different positions.

Editing:
With the editing for this scene we had to use the blade tool to chop up the long take that we took and then separate the clips that had the armchair in different positions, we then re-timed each clip so that they were all the same length and then layered them over the top of each other by cropping each clip to the point where you could see each clip in the same scene.

The Clip:

  1. Definitely has the potential to be high impact. There are continuity risks: birds in the background/cars jump cutting for example. Greenscreening a poss option, tho' you'd need to green the floor too given the shot type/framing nedded and check that works (plus lighting might be different)
Its worth thinking through in detail; do a post on options with this technique, eg creating a sense of interaction between the different singers
    Jake's performance looks strong
1m tripods aren't ideal for this, but MCU/CUs leaning in to camera (could try fisheye too) often feature in such footage
Creating short clips like these is just what you need to push towards high marks, and will be useful again in Eval - BUT make sure you generate and file/blog FCProX s'shots/notes each time too
