Lip Syncing

There's strong links between the lyrics and visuals throughout the video as it's a performance footage so the audience get to see real live footage from the band playing at festivals, however there's hardly any lip syncing which is counter stereotypical for music videos just to have one shot of lip syncing throughout the video.

The genre is more progressive house as the notes are synthesised more and layered, and this is obviously signified within the music however there's layering being used in the video also which could signify this genre also.

With this genre it's not as focused on the vocals like with Pop or R&B so lip syncing is show as much, whereas the instruments used to play in the band are more shown on camera such as turntables and mixers because these are what are used more to create this genre of music, so often they'll be footage of these instruments being used in the music video as with this music video the band are shown live playing.

In this video the band are playing at a festival in front of their audience and the audience are shown a various parts, and this is common for music videos to do this as it target their audience more and connects with them easier.

The star treatment isn't applied in this video as all three artists in the band contribute equally and are equally as known to the audience, which is uncommon in music videos as the lead singer is normally starred more in the video however the vocals aren't as important in the genre in comparison to other genre such as Pop and R&B.
